We’d like to extend a warm welcome to all new patients to 35 Devonshire Place; a unique dental practice with a special heritage. The Practice has its origins in the early 1880s when dentist Joseph Miller practiced at Bexhill and, later, Harley Street. In 1907 he was joined by Herbert Highton who built a large dental practice and introduced the Ritter X-ray system, a first in the UK.
In 1931 the practice moved to 35 Devonshire Place where a succession of dedicated dentists developed specialist skills and grew its reputation as a centre of dental excellence, culminating in the staging of the prestigious 11th World Congress of the FDI (Fédération Dentaire Internationale) in London.
The Federation based its offices at 35 Devonshire Place between 1952 and 1975.
In 1966 David Glynn joined Devonshire Place followed by Mike Setchell in 1970 and Geoff Allen in 1978. This was the start of a partnership lasting over 30 years until Mike Setchell retired in 2008 followed by David Glynn in 2012. Mr Geoff Allen still remains a dedicated associate at the Practice.
In 2015 the Practice was acquired by Estetica Dental Clinics Ltd with Dr Teodor Murgelas taking on the role of Principal Dentist. Originally from Sweden, Dr Murgelas graduated from Gothenburg University with a Degree in Dentistry (DDS) and has been practicing in the UK since 1998. His special interests are implantology, facial aesthetics and rejuvenation.
The practice is proud of such an illustrious heritage and strives daily to maintain a reputation for excellence. Currently we have five surgeries and a dedicated team comprising of top specialists covering all aspects of dental surgery and hygiene, including:
